Tuesday’s Tidbits (& Sips)

Remember, if you will, that I have been toying with the idea of integrating some more regular features into marginalia‘s repertoire.  Well, my latest idea is Tuesday’s Tidbits (& Sips).

The idea behind Tidbits (& Sips) is to give me a space to talk about one of my favorite subjects: food!!  I love food.  I love eating food.  I love making food.  I love reading about food.  I love talking about food.  This regular feature will give me a chance to talk about food (& sometimes drink) – thus the name “Tidbits (& Sips)” – to my heart’s content.

There’s no set format for this feature.  Sometimes I’ll provide a recipe.  Sometimes I’ll review a restaurant.  Or a cookbook.  Or candy.  Sometimes I’ll tell stories involving food.  Sometimes I’ll talk about food culture.  Sometimes I’ll share tantalizing food photography…

Really, anything is fair game as long as it involves food in some way.

To be honest, this is a resurrection of sorts for me.  Back in the day, I attempted to have a blog all about food and drink, named (not so surprisingly) Tidbits and Sips.  In the spirit of integration that is marginalia, I am bringing this portion of my interests back into blogging but as part of my single uber-blog and not as a separate project.  I promise to bring over the recipes that appeared on that blog (a grand total of 3, I think) in the course of these posts but I won’t hit you with all of them at the beginning, because that would be cheating…  Additionally, I already have something that I want to share with you all.

First installment of Tuesday’s Tidbits (& Sips) will be out next Tuesday…
