Keep up with the addict

happy things for hump day

It’s Wednesday.  I need some happy things to get me over that hump in the middle of the week.  I thought you might, too; so, some of the things (objects, ideas, activities, music, etc.) that have made me smile recently:

  1. Exploring Flickr photos using Flickr Hive Mind.  It is inspiring.  Why not try it for yourself?  Perhaps you could search for knitting or rainbows or trees…  In particular, I found this photo while exploring and can’t wait until my hand knit sock drawer looks like this, or rather until I have enough hand knit socks to dedicate a drawer to them.
  2. The Japanese Traditional Monster Kit – Check out the video.  [Found via mr x stitch post]
  3. The Usborne book of Drawing doodling and colouring – Ever since I saw this book on Lucy’s blog, Attic24, I have been enamored.  I think that I just might have to import it…
  4. Ingrid Michaelson‘s rendition of Over the Rainbow from Be OK
  5. And finally, my newest addiction: stranded knitting!!  I haven’t yet finished my Endpaper Mitts but I couldn’t resist casting on for a pair of Fiddlehead Mittens in the meantime.  They are simply flying off the needles…  Want to see them?  Ok…  if you insist…

That’s it for now!  Happy Hump Day!!  Hope you find something that makes you smile.

I enjoyed putting this post together.  Perhaps it’ll become a regular feature…
