I wonder if this photograph is the heretofore missing link to finding the roots of my fiber addiction…
Or perhaps the addiction set in much earlier, with exposure to things such as the intense ripple afghan seen in the background of this photograph:
and the psychedelic pillow seen in the background of this photograph:
Yes; I am aware that all of these photos contain depictions of acrylic yarn, but, in my defense, Red Heart was just what one had readily accessible in those days – my formative years.
I’m not sure… you actually look a bit afraid of the yarn in that first picture…
I couldn’t see the first picture well and imagined you must be holding a bran muffin. By the third picture, I was beginning to follow your drift, although I mistook the pillow for a scrambled signal on a B&W TV screen.
Now I get it.
Although I don’t share your addiction, you’ve caused me to ponder exactly what addictions my formative years have lead me to.
Best I can conjure: poodles.
It’s funny you should mention bran muffins, as I love bran muffins. I think that it might have been weird to pull a bran muffin out of my stocking though…
HA I looove the old photos! When I look at mine its like they all look the same everywhere. Oh how much I miss the dingy sofa in grandma’s basement!
I love looking at old photographs, especially of one from my family.
I have to admit that it does become a bit hard to distinguish which photos come from what age when I look back at old photographs of myself. Each one brings back certain memories but they kind of all run together without much linear progression.
Hmmmmm, I must pull out my old family photos, maybe I can blame my collecting addictions on my parents! Thanks for the suggestion… North Coast Muse @ http://sally1029.wordpress.com
We certainly can’t blame ourselves, can we?
